Bought this to add smart control to a chain-driven slide gate (Eagle 1000 chassis, aftermarket control board). Four relays pulse the board's open/close/stop triggers plus an IR-beam bypass; the opto inputs read the travel-limit switches and a reed sensor; the two analog inputs monitor supply voltage and the IR transmitter battery. Flashed ESPHome - Home Assistant integration is native and rock solid, and the self-excited opto inputs take passive dry contacts with no extra components. Months of 24/7 outdoor duty through Texas heat, zero board issues. Only wish is Ethernet - which is exactly why I just ordered the A8v3. Full config posted on the KinCony forum.
