KinCony Pi5M8 – Raspberry Pi CM5 DIN Rail MOSFET Controller for Smart Home & Industrial Automation

raspberry pi 5 relay board

Product Overview

KinCony Pi5M8 is a powerful Raspberry Pi-based IoT gateway designed for smart home automation and industrial control applications. Powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5), it integrates 8-channel MOSFET outputs, optocoupler-isolated digital inputs, analog inputs, RS232/RS485 communication interfaces, PWM outputs, and multiple expansion interfaces into a compact DIN rail aluminum enclosure.

The Raspberry Pi CM5 directly manages MOSFET outputs, digital inputs, analog inputs, PWM outputs, and serial communication ports, making it easy to deploy automation solutions using Home Assistant, Node-RED, MQTT, Modbus, Docker, Python, and other Linux-based software platforms.

Pi5M8 is ideal for controlling DC loads such as LED strips, solenoid valves, DC motors, industrial actuators, and custom automation equipment.

If you are using a CM5 module with onboard eMMC storage, the microSD card slot cannot be used.

The microSD card slot is only available when using a CM5 Lite module.

Programming the CM5

To access the CM5 eMMC or microSD storage through USB-C:

  1. Connect the Pi5M8 to your computer using a USB-C cable.
  2. Run the Raspberry Pi rpiboot utility.
  3. The eMMC or microSD storage will appear as a removable drive.
  4. Flash Raspberry Pi OS or other Linux distributions directly.
